The moment a man was hit by a truck in Tigre: he miraculously survived

A shocking incident occurred in the town of El Talar, in the district of Tigre, when a truck ran over and crushed a man who was crossing the street while distracted. Those who were in the area quickly rushed to assist him and he was admitted to a nearby hospital, where he is now out of danger. The accident occurred on Friday afternoon at the intersection of Colombia and Belgrano streets and was captured by security cameras at the Tigre Operations Center (COT). A man walking along Colombia Street crossed at the corner of Belgrano Street, looking at the ground. Distracted, he continued on his way without looking to see if there were any vehicles around him. "It was at that moment that a truck traveling along Colombia turned right to continue along Belgrano and, due to its large size, failed to see the young man crossing from the corner. When the victim realized what was happening, it was too late: the truck ran over him with its front wheel and left him lying on the asphalt. Cameras recorded the moment of the accident and how the man slowly fell under the truck while trying to protect himself with his hands. Meanwhile, the driver continued on his way, unaware of what had happened. The young man was left on the ground, visibly injured and unable to get up. Several neighbors and passersby came to assist him while they waited for the ambulance to arrive. "COT personnel observed what had happened on camera and sent a mobile unit to assist the young man. Shortly thereafter, a SAME ambulance also arrived, placed him on a stretcher, and transported him to the Magdalena V. de Martínez Hospital, located in General Pacheco. The municipality reported that he is out of danger. Traffic officers also arrived to regulate vehicle traffic in the area. They also performed a breathalyzer test and a drug test on the truck driver, but both came back negative. On November 19, a truck traveling along Avenida Nazca at 800, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Flores, lost control while heading towards Gaona after making a bad maneuver, crashed into four parked vehicles, and ran over a 42-year-old woman. According to police sources, LA NACION learned that the Iveco truck was traveling along Nazca Avenue at 800, heading toward Gaona Avenue, when, after making a bad maneuver, it lost control and crashed into four parked vehicles and hit the woman who was crossing the street. Security camera footage shows the truck suddenly losing control on the avenue, crashing into the cars, and finally running over the victim. "The woman was left unconscious, so the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) deployed a team to the scene to treat the victim. Doctors treated her and transferred her to Álvarez Hospital, where she underwent surgery for head trauma. Personnel from the City Police's 7C Neighborhood Police Station also participated in the operation. The vehicles damaged in the crash were a Volkswagen Gol, a Nissan Versa, a Renault Kangoo, and a Peugeot 208. “The 35-year-old truck driver's breathalyzer test came back negative.”
