В партнерстве с EBC телеканал TV Cultura do Pará расширяет вещание в штате
In partnership with Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), the Paraense Broadcasting Foundation (Funtelpa) held a meeting on Tuesday (10) to mark the expansion of TV Cultura do Pará's signal to the municipalities of Tucuruí and Parauapebas. The launch took place in the capital Belém and also marked the official entry of Rádio Cultura FM do Pará into the National Public Communication Network (RNCP). The ceremony was attended by the executive manager of Content and Network Integration at EBC, Lidia Neves; the president of Funtelpa, Miro Sanova; the advisor to the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic (Secom PR), Marco Konopacki, as well as other authorities and managers from Funtelpa. We are very happy with this expansion of Funtelpa, which will extend the digital signal to 27 municipalities in Pará, starting with Parauapebas and Tucuruí. The Foundation has been an important partner in Brasil Digital, a Brazilian government program that has invested more than R$ 250 million in strengthening public communication," says Lidia Neves. According to her, Funtelpa is a long-standing partner of EBC in content initiatives and has contributed since 2008 to TV Brasil's programming and journalism, in addition to joint work on major coverage, such as COP30. “It is also time to celebrate the official entry of Rádio Cultura FM into the RNCP, rebroadcasting four hours a day of programming from Rádio Nacional, a station that celebrates its 90th anniversary this year,” adds the executive manager. The RNCP is a network of radio and television stations partnered with EBC. Its main objective is to promote public communication at the national level, offering informative, educational, cultural, and entertainment content to the Brazilian population. In 2026, RNCP will undergo a historic expansion. In March alone, 12 new stations are expected to join the network in different regions of the country. TV Cultura do Pará has been part of RNCP since 2008, bringing content that showcases the culture and perspectives of the state to TV Brasil screens daily, while also rebroadcasting TV Brasil programming to the North Region. With the expansion, the two broadcasters will increase the supply of quality information and public interest content for residents of Tucuruí, on channel 3.1, and Parauapebas, on channel 2.1. The expansion was made possible by the Brasil Digital program, coordinated by the Ministry of Communications (MCom), and strengthens the presence of public communication in the interior of Pará. In Tucuruí, the federal investment was R$ 849,990.00, with the potential to reach more than 225,000 inhabitants of the municipality and neighboring cities. In Parauapebas and the surrounding region, the investment totals R$ 883,980.00, benefiting more than 152,000 people. “Brasil Digital came to save Funtelpa. It was essential support for the digitization of TV Cultura do Pará. This initiative has been a great partnership with EBC, and we intend to implement it as soon as possible. I have asked to speed it up, as Brasil Digital is our priority. We have been bringing Funtelpa closer and closer to EBC,” points out President Miro Sanova. The Brasil Digital Program was created to finance the expansion of the signals of RNCP and Rede Legislativa de TV broadcasters. On Tuesday (10), channel 14 of the Legislative TV Network was also inaugurated in Parauapebas, and channel 9 of the Legislative Network in Tucuruí. New channels in Parauapebas New channels in Tucuruí Rádio Cultura FM do Pará officially joined the RNCP. With the membership agreement signed, Funtelpa will broadcast EBC signals on the station's frequency (93.7 MHz) and via digital transmission through its own app, covering the following municipalities: Belém, Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Santa Bárbara do Pará, and Santa Izabel do Pará. Rádio Cultura FM already had a partnership with EBC in covering daily news and major events, such as the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30). Joining the RNCP expands the presence and reach of public communication in the state of Pará.
