Реакция Серхио Рочета на провокацию игрока «Гремио» в финале Гаучао

Gremio was crowned champion of the Campeonato Gaúcho after defeating Paulo Pezzolano's Internacional in the classic final and winning its eighth title in the last nine years in the state tournament. The tricolor team sealed the series with an aggregate score of 4-1: they had won 3-0 in the first leg and on Sunday drew 1-1 at the José Pinheiro Borda stadium, popularly known as Beira-Rio, home of Inter. Gustavo Martins opened the scoring for Gremio, while Alan Patrick equalized near the end for the home team, where Uruguayan national team goalkeeper Sergio Rochet started and midfielder Alan Rodríguez came on at the end of the match. The Celeste goalkeeper was involved in a particular incident at the start of the match. Just five minutes into the game, Gremio striker Carlos Vinícius pretended to drink water from a water bottle and threw water at two Inter de Porto Alegre players who were behind him on the bench. Rochet was the only Inter player who noticed the provocation and reacted immediately, going after the opposing striker. At that moment, defender Viery intervened to defend Vinícius, who turned around, trying to ignore the situation. The Uruguayan goalkeeper continued the confrontation with Viery for a few seconds until players from both teams intervened to separate them, in a classic match that ended with tension but confirmed Gremio's recent dominance in Rio Grande do Sul soccer.
