Последнее интервью Гонсало Мораторио газете «Эль Паис»: о своём призвании, отцовстве и раке
Gonzalo Moratorio, one of Uruguay’s most internationally renowned scientists, died this Thursday at the age of 44 after battling an aggressive brain tumor. His work as a virologist stood out during the pandemic, leading *Nature* magazine to name him one of the most outstanding scientists of 2020. This was the last interview Moratorio gave to *El País*. It was recorded on February 25, 2025, before his diagnosis and surgery for the brain tumor, as part of the series *Desde adentro* hosted by journalist Viviana Ruggiero. In the interview, Moratorio spoke about his goals for the future, his experience with cancer, and Guska, the startup he founded to develop innovative therapies for those diagnosed with cancer. Gonzalo and his family authorized the release of this conversation.
